West Liberty-Salem Local School District was presented with the 2019 United Way: Living United Bronze Award for their philanthropic impact on Logan County. This award is presented to those businesses or non-profit organizations who not only participate but have at least 40% of their employees donate an average gift of $100 or more. Pictured in the award are Cheyenne Gluckle and Kaylee LeVan volunteering at the Second Harvest Food Bank Mobile Pantry. The food pantry on wheels distributes groceries to outlying areas of Logan County honoring the United Way’s commitment to supporting the health, education and financial stability of Logan County. Donations, like the ones from WL-S employees, make an annual contribution of over $100,000 for the mobile pantry!
