The WL-S Show Choir, known as Sound Check, completed a weekend of fantastic performances following months of hard work and dedication. Sound Check is led by choir director and elementary music teacher Mr. Brice Henry, and choreographer McKena Floyd. They began practicing in July and have performed just a few times leading up to this weekend. There were many entertaining large group songs, a performance by Sound Check guys, a song performed only by senior members and solo performances by Megan Adams, Jessie Boy, Micha Stoner, Kathryn Hissong, Dylan Domachowski, Savannah Weaver, Selena Weaver, Mandilyn Weaver, Jaison Council, Anna Kauffman, Emma Kauffman, Hannah Bowman, Morgan Damron, Angeline Allison and Elijah Shaffer. Mr. Henry had this to say about the show, “It is a high energy, fast-paced performance that will surely keep you entertained! These kids have been working really hard on this show since July and are really proud of it.” And they did not disappoint! They performed both Friday and Saturday with a bonus performance by Junior Show Choir, who sang two songs at Saturday’s show. Junior Show Choir welcomes 5th-8th graders interested in someday performing at the high school level while encouraging their confidence to perform in front of a crowd. WL-S continues to be amazed by the musical and theatrical talents our students bring to each show. We are certainly looking forward to the next musical performances they have on the horizon and invite our families and community to come check one out!
