We are celebrating our School Resource Officer, Deputy J! Deputy Jarzab is more than just a resource officer at our school! You can often find Deputy J in the halls giving hi-fives or talking with students, in the lunchroom checking in with how someone's day is going, in the elementary reading a book to a class, or jumping in anywhere help is needed! We are so thankful he is part of our Tiger Family! We appreciate and thank you for your dedication to our students, staff, and Tiger community! Happy SRO Day!

The WL-S 7th and 8th grade choir went to the Holland Theatre yesterday to see a production of Moana Jr.! Our music department always does a wonderful job exposing our younger students to musical theatre early so they learn what aspects of music they are interested in. There were a number of WL-S students involved in this production:
Ashlyn Taylor- Gramma Tala
Abigail Frederick- Tomatoa
Alexa Beard, Cecilia Kerns, Silas Kerns- Ensemble
Jessa Beard- Stage Crew,
Illa Kerns and Sophia Holland- Spotlights
Great job to our students who took part in the production!

Congratulations to the lady Tigers bowling team who made it to Districts for the first time in school history. They join the Boys who also made Districts. This is the first time in school history that both teams made it to Districts in the same year. Go Tigers!

Seniors in Mr. Stoner's English 12 class visited ColePak as part of an ongoing Career Exploration study! Seniors in English 12 are focused on earning the Ohio Means Jobs Career Readiness Seal. Part of earning that seal means that students will learn about local and national employment opportunities, while exploring the 15 important skill areas of 'Career Readiness'. Ryan Cole, Colepak's Vice President of Operations, spoke to the 16 seniors about acceptable employee characteristics and current trends and wages in the manufacturing industry. Students were also given a plant tour. Thank you, Colepak and Mr. Ryan Cole, for being a part of the Career Readiness Series!

West Liberty-Salem Quick Recall ended their season 4th overall after placing 5th in their most recent tournament. The team had stellar performances from Quentin Rudolph and Abigail Miller as two of this year's top scorers. Quick Recall is gaining momentum after seeing an increase in members this year! Many new members are underclassmen, with great performances from younger players like Brady Kauffman and new commers Avi Lehman, Zoe Carter, and Gavyn Greenhill. The team is looking forward to next year’s season as they can only improve as they continue to learn and expand their knowledge and understanding of the world.
Quick Recall also mentioned that they really enjoyed their outings at Cane's after the matches where they received free merch for being part of a school event!
