In first grade, students create a time capsule filled with favorite memories of who they were when just beginning their journey at WL-S. Today, they opened them. They found small toys, pictures they drew, a note to their future self, and notes and pictures from their family. Time capsules will come home with them today, so be sure to revisit that little one who is now your graduate!

A long standing senior tradition at West Liberty-Salem is painting blocks in the HS science wing. Blocks are painted during seniors last weeks of school and remain in the hall displaying their message for the next full school year. We have some talented artists in the Class of 2023!

Seniors enjoyed a special and final WL-S lunch with their family event today. The weather was beautiful for courtyard games like Spikeball and Cornhole, and just spending time with friends.

Once upon a time, kindergartners gathered together in magical gowns and costumes to dance the morning away at a Fairytale Ball! The Ball is a new tradition that helps wrap up their ELA unit on fairytales. They danced and sang. A few wolves chased princesses. Dresses twirled and the music kept the party going all morning long! What a great way to end a magical unit!

Go Tigers!

West Liberty-Salem Ag Sciences hosted Ag Science Day for elementary students yesterday, a tradition that has become both a Chapter and elementary student favorite. Ag Science Day teaches young students about all things Agriculture. They visit several stations featuring farm animals and farm implements that are used in everyday farming practices in our community! All of the animals and most equipment are owned by our students and their families. Students are offered the opportunity to interact with the animals, climb up in the seat of a tractor or combine, ask questions, and of course, receive a sweet popsicle treat at the end. Our Ag students were eager and ready to answer so many well-thought questions from students. The future of WL-S FFA is bright!
