The Great Kindness Challenge has proved to be pretty easy for our little Tigers this week. We are thankful for a kind and helpful bunch of students all year and hope that kindness week just helps reiterate how far a little kindness an go! Activities have included the Kind Acts checklist, a coloring contest, spirit week dress up days, kindness board including notes from students on how they’ve been kind or how someone was kind to them, and student council Smiles Welcome Committee just to name a few. The second graders made 0-5 addition flash cards for the whole kindergarten class, and Mrs. Dallas and Mrs. McNabb’s class helped them with their math facts! It’s been a fun week making kindness count!

Elementary Student Council members are taking The Kindness Challenge outside of school and helping a local downtown business! They worked hard this evening moving inventory from one store front to another. Kindness can be found in a simple hello, a smile, or a random act of giving, but it’s also being serving member of your community. Thank you to Mrs. Dallas for putting this together and our members who were able to attend!

Congrats to our duo of Swimming Tigers, Andrea Caldwell and Katelyn Stapleton, for their performances at the 1st Annual Darby Valley Championships Friday night. This was a defacto league meet with only OHC schools participating. Katelyn medaled by placing 3rd in the 200 free and also placed 5th in the 100 back. Andrea Caldwell placed 8th in the 50 free and 4th in the 100 free. The ladies next swim at Trotwood this Wednesday as they prepare for the Sectional Meet next week.
