Our seventh graders have been busy creating the capstone project, Geometry City! From budget planning, writing checks, making orders, dealing with "daily work challenges" on the game board, to designing and building their city grids...they did it all! Each 7th grade class created a city together, and in total, 160 city grids were created in the last two weeks of school. This is just a small snapshot of the work that went into this project. Great work, 7th grade!

Fifth graders at West Liberty-Salem completed a project-based learning activity where they tried their luck at entrepreneurship! Students planned the opening and advertisement
of pizza parlors and lemonade stands, and after a lot of hard work, they opened up the donation- based businesses for a day! They made and served pizzas to students and staff and served lemonade during our 2nd-5th grade recess. The project, led by 5th grade math teacher Mrs. Peterson, raised more than the $100 that they donated two worthy causes in our local community. Recipients of the donations were The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation team of Addy and Ava’s Angels and Love for the Lake Relief Fund. Great work, 5th grade!
