West Liberty-Salem High School Names Brad Jarzab as New Head Football Coach
West Liberty-Salem High School is proud to announce the hiring of Brad Jarzab as the new Head Football Coach. With deep roots in our local football community and an impressive track record both as a player and a coach, Jarzab brings a wealth of experience and passion to our athletic program.
A proud alumnus of Shawnee High School, Coach Jarzab played on the football team from the 2009 through 2011 seasons. He further honed his athletic skills at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he was a four-year contributor on the football field while earning his bachelor’s degree.
Coach Jarzab began his coaching career at his alma mater, Shawnee, serving as the quarterbacks coach during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. In 2018, he joined the West Liberty-Salem coaching staff, where he has since been instrumental in developing our quarterbacks and safeties. His progression from local high school standout to a respected coach within our community makes him an ideal leader to guide our football program into its next chapter.
Morgan Sullivan, Athletic Director at West Liberty-Salem High School, expressed his enthusiasm about the appointment:
"We are thrilled to welcome Brad Jarzab as our new Head Football Coach. His exceptional background as both a player and a coach, along with his commitment to excellence, perfectly aligns with the values of our athletic program. Brad’s intimate understanding of our local football landscape, having the majority of his coaching career in this community, will be a tremendous asset as we continue our tradition of success developing future leaders of our community with great football stories."
Commenting on his new role, Coach Jarzab stated:
"I am honored to take on the responsibility of leading the West Liberty-Salem football program. For the past seven years I have been able to witness an excellent tradition here, and I hope to continue that hardworking culture that I have grown to love about West Liberty-Salem. I look forward to working with a group of dedicated student-athletes, and this great community.”
West Liberty-Salem High School is excited for the future under Coach Jarzab’s leadership and invites the community to join in supporting the team as they embark on a new era of competitive spirit and academic achievement.
