It has never been easier to respond to the 2020 Census, whether online at 2020census.gov, over the phone, or by mail. It’s something everyone can do while social distancing at home and in less than 10 minutes! Census information impacts funding communities receive for programs and services that are essential for our students and school such as special education, classroom technology, after school programs, and school lunch programs. Take the census today to make a difference today, tomorrow, and for the next 10 years!

Mr. Henry just hosted a sing-a-long with his Middle School and High School choir students. It was completely optional, but what a good turnout! Mr. Henry played Disney songs (and shared his screen with them so they could see the lyrics) for them to sing along to. It was a lot of fun! They got to chat some before and after we sang some songs together. This type of interaction is so important for our students, who are missing their teachers so much! Thanks, Mr. Henry for finding a creative way to host an awesome choir experience!

Hey everyone! It's Mrs. Cotrell here, and I really miss seeing all your smiling faces each day! My family and I are keeping busy doing chores around the house, learning remotely, and playing lots of board games. But one of our FAVORITE things to do is bake! We've spent lots of time baking homemade treats, and then playing outside after enjoying them. Hope you are all doing well!

Good morning, Elementary families! The Girl Scouts are working as an entire organization to come up with new ways to support their communities during this difficult time. The following program opportunities are available on Facebook live to the general public, for free, to anyone interested (not just registered Girl Scouts) at www.facebook.com/GSWOH. Attached you will find a breakdown of times and grade levels for each live session. Here is a fun of example of one of the virtual opportunities their program team has put together: https://www.facebook.com/GSWOH/videos/830484824138777/ In this video program team leader Marissa walks girls through the Junior Animal Habitats Badge. This video walks the viewer through the badge requirements for a Junior badge, but kids of all ages can enjoy viewing and learning about animal life. These videos are recorded so caregivers can watch them with their children at any time, but if you tune in during the live event you can ask questions and interact with our program team. We hope you enjoy!

Good afternoon students, staff and families! As we settle in to another ‘school away from school’ week, the HS and MS Student Councils have decided that it’s time to have some fun! They are sponsoring a school-wide virtual SPIRIT WEEK next week, April 6th-10th. Everyone in grades K-12 is encouraged to participate! Invite your family members and even get your pets involved! Just take a picture of yourself showing your spirit and tag or post them on the West Liberty-Salem Facebook page. Don’t have facebook? No Problem! Just email your photos to Awygal@wlstigers.org, and we will share them on the school live-feed!
